Welcome to Étoile Canada Energy Corp. Étoile is the North American agent for Star Energy SA, a innovative small modular nuclear reactor company that is revolutionizing the energy industry. Our reactor is designed to provide a safe, reliable, and sustainable source of carbon free electric and thermal energy. We offer a unique transportable small nuclear reactor that generates 10 megawatts of clean carbon free electrical power, up to 30-40 megawatts of thermal power and 30,000 cubic metres of clean water. The beneficiaries of these technologies are remote communities, indigenous communities, mining, oil sands mining and pipelines.
Our goal is to minimize environmental impact, providing clean potable water while promoting global energy security in remote off grid communities.
History
Star Energy SA was founded by a team of experienced nuclear engineers and energy experts who recognized the need for a new generation of small nuclear reactors that could address the challenges facing the energy industry especially in remote locations. Our team which includes established nuclear manufacturers has decades of combined experience in nuclear technology, and has worked on some of the most advanced nuclear projects in the world.

We believe that nuclear energy is an essential component of the world’s energy mix, and that small nuclear reactors like STAR have a critical role to play in meeting global energy demand while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Star reactor design is unique for the provision clean electrical, thermal power to indigenous communities, remote mining locations, pipelines and oil sands mining in a carbon free environment.
Design
The Star small nuclear reactor is designed to be compact, modular, and scalable, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, from remote communities to industrial facilities. The reactor uses advanced passive safety systems that ensure safe operation even in the event of power outages or other unexpected events. The reactor also incorporates advanced fuel technology that minimizes waste and extends fuel life. It’s modular design allows the transport of the unit by helicopter to any remote location.
